I'm a molecular ecologist - I use DNA to study wildlife. I use genetic tools, including environmental DNA (eDNA) and population genetics, to inform conservation and wildlife management. Current projects focus on Antarctic wildlife.
I'm also interested in understanding and conserving genetic diversity. As co-chair of the GEOBON Genetic Composition Working Group, and as a member of the IUCN Conservation Genetics Specialist Group, I work to improve frameworks and tools for evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of genetic diversity.
